Pressing in and Rachel

Kathryn writes…….

As the torrential tropical rain falls outside our Hotel room I am reminded of the persistent cries in the meeting for God to send His rain. One of the speakers on the first night testified to a fine mist cloud settling in his living room while he and some friends watched the meeting on God TV. They were literally wet when they put their hands in it. Read More »

Ministry Team

imag0011.jpgA highlight from last night was the worship. Roy, the leader, changed all his plans, did away with the band and we sang simple worship songs with a keyboard for an hour and a half. It’s a phrase that does not really communicate it well enough, but ‘God’s presence was strong’ at the front where I was standing. For me, that meant hearing God’s tender thoughts in my minds very clearly; an awareness of his love for me ( and others ) that several times brought tears to my eyes.

Tonight, the 81st night, before any preaching had happened, healings started to happen. Read More »

Friday Night

imag0009.jpgWow, what a meeting. I think the only way to recall it all is to watch the replay on God TV. Six hours of meeting, finishing with everyone in the tent being prayed for… about 7,000 people. This was the 80th day of this ongoing meeting. The worship was powerful, the presence of God was thick, and sometimes for me overwhelming. I cried as I thought of the broken, wounded people on the streets of England who need to experience this, who need to know and experience God healing them. I could blog for pages on last night, but I will reserve myself to a key highlight of when Todd spoke.

The First Night

imag0006.jpgLast night was our first night, and we thought that we had better arrive early, not knowing how full it would be. We arrived at 5:00pm, that’s two hours before the meeting officially starts. There was already a queue of perhaps 400 people! The whole meeting went on until about midnight, but it felt like it went so quick.

By about 9:00pm people were on stage telling of healings that had just happened. One young woman was crying as she talked of having no back pain whilst standing up for the first time in many years. There were many people suffering from hearing problems healed. One man talked of being totally deaf in his right ear. He had left the army years before after an injury had left him with this problem. During the meeting he was suddenly aware of a wooshing sound in his right ear… and the noise from the worship music started to hurt! He was totally healed.

Lakeland blogging

The View from our Motel DoorWe have just arrived in Lakeland, Florida, settled into our motel, and eaten our first Florida breakfast after an eventful night - constantly wondering ‘what that noise was’ - and then realising it’s the air conditioning kicking in! Oh and the journey involved flying through lightening, major turbulence, and four and a half hours of delay.

It seems like many people here at this motel are also here for the meetings that you may have heard about, with Todd Bentley and the many healings that are happening here. I will try and blog at least once a day here and give you our perspective on what is happening and snippets of what is happening to us in the process! So stay tuned.

    Reading at the minute

  • The Adobe Illustrator CS3 WOW! Book

I managed to get a hold of this book in Waterstones with vouchers from Christmas and I am loving it so far! I have particulary enjoyed it introducing me to the way Illustrator handles palettes and colour schemes. I have wanted to get into Illustrator for a while now, as I think it would be a brilliant addition to my armoury for web design. So far, I am loving it!

  • Binding and Loosing

This came highly recommended and I found it very helpful in understanding key passages like Matthew 16. Very good exploration of the authority of believers. It was not as theologically rigorous as I was hoping, but nonetheless, some excellent exposition. Well worth getting

  • Brilliant presentation

I just picked this book up, after it was highly recommended. I'm seeing whether I can sharpen up my presentation skills. I know you can't replace the anointing, but I am sure that sometimes our poor presentation gets in the way of the anointing!!
