Dutch Downpour

I have just spent three days in the Netherlands ministering to some potential missionaries on a summer school.  This was the first three days of their three week course.  Although many of them come from more traditional backgrounds, there was a hunger for the things of God that drew heaven into the classroom. The first morning when I spoke about God the Father loving us.  By coffee time the presence of God was tangible in the room with several welling up with tears.  One of the members of staff said that she received a new, deeper understanding of how she is loved and not condemned.  By the third day, we were praying for people for a deeper filling of the Holy Spirit.  Several were breaking free from fears, choosing to respond with a new boldness when God asked them to do things, prophecying over each other.

It seems there is a fresh open heaven when speaking at the moment.  A deeper awareness of the love of God, and God’s power seems to show up easily to demonstrate what we talk about.  I am loving it.

I certainly am realising the depth of what Jesus meant when he told us to call for God’s Kingdom will to be done on earth now.  We need to push into that more, God does want to demonstrate who He is and what He does now.
